Women's Leadership Institute

The Women’s Leadership Institute is being recognized this year in the third annual calendar of the University of Hartford campus group Women for Change.

 

The calendar features 29 diverse students, staff, faculty, alumnae, and friends. Included in it are Professor Miriam Therese Winter, director of WLI; JoAnne Bauer, a WLI alumna; and a group of WLI classmates.

 

Women for Change will release the calendar at a special event on Friday, November 11 at the University of Hartford, Mali 1 Auditorium, located in Dana Hall, at 5:30 p.m. The unveiling celebration will include a slideshow of each woman featured in the calendar. Refreshments will be served.

 

This year's calendar theme is "Em(body) Image" where women's stories about what they em(body) appear along with their image. The calendar costs $10, with 10 percent of the evening’s proceeds going to WLI.
