A
little over ten years ago, I decided the join the faculty of Hartford
Seminary for its distinguished program in Islamic Studies and
Christian-Muslim Relations.
Furthermore, being in a Christian
institution of higher learning has made it possible to build national
and international bridges with the Muslim world.
This is one of the
few places in the USA where this can be done. Hartford Seminary is a
unique institution, indeed.
