EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH

Bible Institute: Understanding the Bible

The Bible Institute, offered each September, covers the historical, cultural and political forces that shaped the Bible, the history of translation and canonization, and the Hebrew Scriptures and New Testament. The Bible Institute is required of all students entering the Black Ministries Certificate Program and is also open to the public for $35. For more information about this event in the current year, please visit the educational events page of this website

Womanist Conference

The Annual Womanist Conference is designed to bring women of all faiths together. The conference focuses on a topic of relevance to women through lecture and discussion and provides the opportunity for participants to share traditions of praise, worship and music. The conference also showcases the work of women artisans and merchants from the greater Hartford area.

The programs listed above are offered annually. Additional educational outreach programs are offered each year.
