Introduction to New Testament Greek, Part I   (LG-651)
Fall 2008

The focus of this intermediate course, which assumes participants have either taken LG-561 and LG-562, or the equivalent, or have instructor’s permission, is a review of grammar and and the building of more advanced vocabulary in New Testament Greek. Students will read selected passages of the New Testament, practice diagramming, and build vocabulary as well as some of the skills needed for New Testament exegesis.

Class will meet: Tuesdays 2 p.m. to 4:20 p.m., September 9th - December 9th, There will be no class Tuesday November 25th - Reading Week.

Ground Rules: Students who must be absent should contact the professor in advance of the class if at all possible, and are required to be caught up with the rest of the class within two weeks at latest. Assignments should be returned on time, but no more than one week late. In case of health related emergencies, arrangements may be made to write the exams later, at a time convenient to the professor, but no more than ten days after the scheduled time for the exams.

Mounces, A Graded Reader of Biblical Greek (cf. above) – the timing of which will be adjusted to the pace of the class's progress. The date and timing of the Mid term Exam is to be discussed and announced.
