Course Objectives:

The objectives of this course are to-

  • Deepen the studentís understanding in the arts of ministerial leadership and practice.
  • Reflect on the relationship between theological explanations for ministry activities and sociological ones.
  • Model a collegial style of reflective engagement and critique designed to help the student clearly articulate the ministry and leadership issues being addressed and strategies for effecting change in those situations.
  • Model a collaborative style of work and planning that can be utilized throughout oneís ministerial career.
  • Identify the components of the studentís work in the Colleague Groups that can be used as building blocks for the Ministry Project Proposal.

A three to five page description of the situation or issue in your ministry setting that will become the focus of your ministry project. This should include in a broad-strokes fashion the tentative approach you will use to effect change in your ministry setting.

March 31, 2003

 

An annotated bibliography of the literature on the practice(s) of ministry that be used in your ministry project.

April 28, 2003

A 8-10 page Practices of Ministry paper focusing on the practices of ministry that will be used in your Ministry Project.
