This
course will approach the history and dynamics of the
contemporary, multi-faceted international dialogue of the
world’s religions through focusing on one organization that
is involved – the Parliament of World Religions. The first
part of the course will study the themes, discussions and
debates that have emerged in the Parliament of World Religions
over the last decade. The
second part of the course will be participation in the July
5-13 meeting of the Parliament of World Religions in
Barcelona, Spain. The
group will travel to Spain and participate in the conference,
coming together for special conversations, lectures and group
discussions on a regular basis throughout the time the
conference meets.
