Institute for Pastors and Pastoral Workers on Islam and Christian-Muslim Relations (DI-660)
Summer 2007

Christians are increasingly aware of the need for a clearer understanding of Islam and closer relationships with Muslims. Misconceptions, anxiety, and lack of understanding have prevented some Christian leaders from reaching out to Muslims; others have desired more information about Islam and Christian-Muslim relations, and time to reflect theologically on the teachings of Islam and Christianity. This institute, held at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., will give Christian pastors and pastoral workers the opportunity to reflect with others on these topics. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of Islam and the confidence to incorporate this knowledge as they address challenges Christians and Muslims face together in the contemporary world. Tuition is $590 plus a $50 registration fee. An additional charge of $730 will be assessed for those taking the institute for credit.
