BMP Reunion

March 4, 2014

Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

Mark your calendars for May 15th – 17th! The first Black Ministries Program Reunion is almost here!  We have a Bishop Wattsdedicated team of BMP alumni who have been working diligently to plan a Spirit-filled weekend that will bless your soul. The theme is “Reclaiming the Past, Restoring Present Leaders, and Recruiting Future Kingdom Builders.”  To kick off the BMP Reunion event, the Alumni Team has planned the following:

  • A Panel Discussion on the State of the Black Church
  • Graduation Banquet: Keynote Speaker is Rev. Dr. Alvan Johnson.
  • 2 Full Days of Workshops on Urban Ministries, Pastoral Counseling, Developing Youth Ministries, Mental and Physical Health, Stewardship, Integrating Smart Technology in the Church, and much more.
  • Praise and Worship Service with a Surprise Closing Fellowship Event.
  • A Limited Edition Souvenir Journal dedicated to the Black Ministries Founder, the late Bishop Thomas Hoyt.

Did you know that since its inception in 1982 by the late Bishop Thomas Hoyt Jr, the Black Ministries Program has prepared over 1,000 men and women for effective service to God?

Do you remember the vibrant worship before class, the lively lectures that would turn into a preaching moment, and the awesome fellowship between your classmates?  Many BMP graduates have asked for opportunities to reunite.  They desired continued growth, learning, and the ability to reconnect with old classmates to see how God has blessed their ministry.

Therefore, not only have we planned a reunion, we have also founded the BMP Alumni Association. We hope that you will be a part of this ministry. This is what we need YOU to DO as soon as possible:

1. Fill out and return the following forms to (a) register for the reunion, (b) join the BMP Alumni Association, and (c) place a personalized ad in the Limited Edition Souvenir Journal. Also like us on our Facebook BMP Alumni Page
