Engaging the Qur’an through the Arabic Language (LG-640)

This course will provide students the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of the Qur’an through intensive Arabic language study over a three week period. Reading and understanding the Qur’an in Arabic is essential for Muslims wishing to gain a deeper understanding of their faith and for students of all faiths who wish to study Islam. Anyone able to read and write the Arabic script and interested in approaching and engaging the Qur’an in its native language Arabic will benefit from this course. Through the lens of the Qur’an we will study intermediate Arabic grammar, morphology, vocabulary and eloquence.

This course carries 6 credits.
