The Interreligious Eco-Justice Network and Spiritual Life Center have planned a transformative indoor/outdoor Earth Healing event at the Holy Family Retreat Grounds in West Hartford, and Hartford Seminary is a co-sponsor. The day will include guest speakers — Hartford Seminary’s Yehezkel Landau is one — leading discussion about the critical state of the Earth and the need to respond to the crisis. Breakout groups will offer the opportunity to explore inner struggles and questions. Prayer and reflective processes will lead to discovery about solutions. The day also includes dinner, drumming, a bonfire, story-telling, and live music from Western Lands Trio.
Guest speakers include:
- A. Karim Ahmed, Ph.D., on the state of the world
- Shyamala Raman, Ph.D., on interfaith and the power of turning to each other
- Yehezkel Landau, DMin., on the moral and ethical imperative to act
