In this workshop, Professors Heidi Hadsell and David Roozen will educate clergy and lay leaders on how to introduce/teach interfaith dialogue and understanding in their congregations. Some of the questions to be addressed include: Why is understanding other religions important? Where do I start in fostering interfaith understanding? How do I develop interfaith dialogue with other congregations? How will interfaith dialogue strengthen my congregation? Hadsell and Roozen will use a new book that they have edited, “Pedagogies for Interfaith Dialogue,” as a springboard for this workshop.
This is an essential program for pastors and other religious and lay leaders to help their congregations thrive in today’s multi-faith world.
