The World Council of Churches
Education and Ecumenical Formation Program and
Hartford Seminary
… are pleased to introduce a new endeavor to catalogue interfaith educational endeavors
currently taking place in communities around the world.
Taking seriously the diversity of religious faith and practice to build positive
understanding and attitudes, the Project on Interfaith Education (IEP) is a contribution
to reflection and action in the ecumenical movement on education. The project has two
staged objectives –
-
to survey and analyze the global field of inter-faith education;
-
to produce a resource based on the results of that survey which would assist educators
in faith communities and education systems develop inter-faith education appropriate to
their context.
If you are someone who is actively involved in interfaith endeavors, and the World Council of Churches Education and Ecumenical Formation program and Hartford Seminary invite you to share the good news of your work.
The Survey on Interfaith Education is a quick and easy way for you to be involved in the formation of new resources for interfaith education. Simply go to the website
http://www.zoomerang.com/survey.zgi?p=WEB224NRA5G9EM
and complete the short survey to share your own expertise.
Join hundreds of other international program developers who are contributing to this interfaith education project, and look for initial results of the survey to be shared at the WCC’s 9th Assembly in Porto Alegra this February.
