Gifts and
pledges to Hartford Seminary can be made in a variety of ways. Our
goal is to make the process of giving as easy as possible for you.

Making a
Pledge:
Pledges to
Hartford Seminary’s Annual Fund can be made by phone, by mail, or
by e-mail. All that we need is your name and the amount you would
like to pledge. We will then mail you a pledge acknowledgement
letter and periodic pledge reminders. Pledge payments are not due
until the close of the fiscal year, June 30. But it is a great help
to the Seminary if you pay your pledge as soon as possible so that
your dollars can go to work right away. To make your pledge, please

payments can be paid in cash, but we do not recommend that you send
cash through the mail. Please feel free to stop by the Institutional

payments can be paid by check and can be mailed to us at the

gifts and pledge payments can be made by telephone or by mail.
We currently accept Visa,
MasterCard, and Discover. Please call our Institutional Advancement
office anytime, day or night, at (860) 509-9520 to make your credit
card gift or pledge payment. If you reach voice mail at this number,
please feel free to leave a message. You may also send the required
information to us by mail. We will need the following information to
process your credit card gift or pledge payment:

Stock:
Gifts and pledge payments can be made with stock. Please call our
Business Office at (860) 509-9525 and our Comptroller will let you
know what information is needed in order for us to process a stock
gift or pledge payment.

Donor Categories:
Hartford
Seminary’s Annual Fund is broken down by donor categories. The
primary use of these categories is for reporting purposes, such as
our yearly Praxis Annual Report. Also, individual donors who
give $250 or more to the Annual Fund are invited to our Appreciation
Dinner, which is now being held every other year. Our donor
categories are:
Presidents Circle: $5,000+
Leadership
Circle: $2,500 - $4,999
Visionary:
$1000 - $2,499
Pacesetter:
$500 - $999
Investor:
$250 - $499
Partner:
$50 - $99

Matching
Gift Opportunities
