The State of the Study of Shi'ite Islam in North America and Europe
Hartford Seminary, in partnership with the Alavi Foundation, the Jafaria Association of Connecticut and the Islamic Institute of Ahl’albait, held a conference on “The State of the Study of Shi’ite Islam” on Saturday, October 8, at the Hartford Plaza Hotel, East Hartford, CT. Leading scholars of Shi’i Islam participated, and there was a concluding banquet, featuring Dr. Sayyed Hossein Nasr as the keynote speaker. More than 200 people attended the conference.
