NOTE: Hartford Seminary is a co-sponsor of this event, which takes place at the Artist Collective at 1200 Albany Ave., Hartford, CT.
Since 1997 the Greater Hartford Multi-Faith Prayer Breakfast has reached across religious boundaries to find and celebrate those beliefs we share, to pray for the Greater Hartford community and to acknowledge together that our diverse communities need the prayerful support of all of our religious traditions if we are to realize a healthy urban center. Hundreds of people attend.
In 2008 the breakfast moved to The Artists Collective on Albany Avenue in Hartford. A light breakfast is served; there is uplifting, spiritual music. A main speaker is selected with a message of hope and compassion. The mayor of Hartford brings greetings. Christians, Jews, Muslims, Sikhs, Hindus, Buddhists, the Baha’i community and others have been involved in the planning of the event.
This year’s keynote speaker is Chris George, Executive Director of Integrated Refugee & Immigrant Services. Join us for good food and coffee, as well as opportunities for discussion and ideas for action.
