Lamenting and Loving in the Era of Covid-19

This event will be live-captioned.

We are living in a time of swirling confusion, deep grief, and sometimes debilitating fear. Whether it stems from the death of a loved one from Covid-19 or the general condition of our world, we find ourselves in seasons of waiting and wondering, searching for ways of lamenting our losses and finding new ways to share love in our communities.

Did you know that half of the 200,000 lives lost to the Covid-19 have been people with disabilities? There has been no outrage, no lament, and no loving of this forgotten community.

This Lamenting and Loving event is an opportunity to come together to remember the lives lost – especially the forgotten ones – and to grieve, to explore underlying issues, and to commit to loving acts of kindness and justice.

This event is facilitated by Candace Low ’18 and the Rev. Donna K. Manocchio. Those needing accommodations to fully participate should contact Candace Low at 203.306.6091 (text only) or
