Rabbi Kevin Hale, a Hartford Seminary Doctor of Ministry student, is the subject of a short documentary about how he joyfully practices the sacred craft of a Torah scribe, bringing new life to scrolls saved during the Shoah.
Watch the 23-minute documentary in advance, then join us for a panel discussion with Rabbi Hale, director/producer Miriam Lewin, camerawoman/editor Randi Cecchine, and composer Leigh Smith.
The documentary, “Commandment 613,” can be viewed on Vimeo starting on Aug. 13 at this link. The video will not be available until that date.
To attend our panel discussion, register below. We’ll send out the Zoom information in the days leading up to the event, as well as a reminder that day. This event is free.
